I don’t know if it’s because it’s my third pregnancy or toddler life that keeps me so busy these days but I am having a hard time keeping up with baby #3’s milestones. When I was pregnant with Cassidi, I kept EVERYTHING! I also created a scrapbook to document my pregnancy and her first years. I mean the type of scrap-booking that has you at Hobby Lobby for days.
I planned to create a scrapbook similar to Cassidi’s for Joshua. You know with all the stickers and embellishments. I made sure to take lots of pictures and for the most part I documented all the milestones for the first year. Except he is almost three and his scrapbook isn’t close to being finished.
I did find time to put together pictures of his first year and created a book using the website Shutterfly. It’s a beautiful book but I do find myself with a little guilt that I didn’t take the time to complete his scrapbook like I did for Cassidi.
I created a scrapbook for my stepdaughter, Sophia. I gathered pictures from my mother-in-law and was able to put a scrapbook together of her first year. I didn’t want her to feel left out. I worked on it while she was at school and presented it to her as a surprise, she loved it!
I am now in my 5th month of pregnancy and only have two or three pictures of my baby bump milestone pictures. I had awful morning sickness and just couldn’t find time the first couple of months to plan anything out. Has this happened to you?
It is important to me and I enjoy creating and putting these memories together. I’m so glad that there are apps available that you can use to take, save and even remind you to take these precious moments. I have been using the Baby Center app and have started to take these “bump selfies.” I also created alerts on my phone to help set time aside to plan this baby’s book out.
Are there any special apps or tools you expecting moms or newly mommies used that helped you? I’d love to hear about them!
